It was the last weekend before we both left for college. We were at Gina Greenlee's summer blowout party. Her family had the biggest house on Cottonwood. You know, that street all the richies live on. It seemed the whole school was here.

"My dad's gone." She said.

"When is he not?"

"Come on." She said "It's faster through the park."

"You have clothes at my house still. You can take a shower."

When we got to her house she grabbed a towel from the linen closet on the way to her room.
